Prominent among the guests were Algerian Minister of War Veterans Mohamed Cherif Abbas and Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Smail Mimoune.

Speaking at the function, Ambassador Do Trong Cuong praised the cooperation between Viet Nam and Algeria, especially after the ninth meeting of the Viet Nam-Algeria Inter-governmental Committee in February.

Cuong said the Vietnamese Government and people always attach importance to the cooperative ties with Algeria and expressed his belief that the relations would further develop to match potentials and aspiration of the two countries’ people.

On the occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar also organised a ceremony with the participation of over 100 representatives from the Vietnamese community in the country.

Earlier, the Vietnamese Consulates General in Cambodia’s Sihanouk Ville and Japan ’s Fukuoka city hosted activities to mark the anniversary./.
